Groups and travel trade
Whether you are an organisation, social group, tour company or education provider, we are delighted to be able to offer our site for your visit and organise a group booking for you.
We are happy to offer a discounted entry fee for groups and can tailor your visit to suit your requirements. Our knowledgeable staff are available to provide a range of personalised private tours of the site, including its history and detail on the landforms and what they represent.
Catering
Hot and cold drinks, ice cream and snacks can be purchased on site at The Coalface. We work with a number of local partners and suppliers to organise picnic boxes and other catering requirements for you to enjoy on site, or to take away. There are a number of local cafes, tea rooms, bakers, hotels and restaurants available nearby too.

Transport
If travelling to the area by public transport, we are happy to organise collection from the nearby towns of Sanquhar and Kirkconnel. Both towns have stations and are on the Glasgow-Carlisle railway line.
Coach parking is available on site, but please call in advance to arrange onsite coach parking.

We offer guided tours of the site giving an insight to the ideas behind the design and what the landforms represent.
These can also be tailored to specific areas of interests such as cosmology or art. Tours must be booked in advance, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
