On arrival, please make your way to The Coalface before you head off to explore the site.
WELCOME TO THE COALFACE
The Coalface is the hub of our operations and it is located next to the car park for your convenience.
A fitting name, it reminds us of our coal mining heritage, The Coalface is the place to purchase tickets, hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice cream and Multiverse Merchandise. There are also toilets, accessible toilets, baby changing facilities and an undercover exhibition space where you can rest and shelter. Water bowls for dogs and an outside tap are available outside The Coalface and our friendly and knowledgeable staff are always on hand to provide information about the site, the local area and nearby services.
Tickets, Refreshments and Shelter
Tickets and information leaflets are available at The Coalface*. A small selection of snacks, ice cream and hot and cold drinks are also available.
There is covered area with bench seating within The Coalface where visitors are welcome to rest, shelter and enjoy their refreshments and a chat with our team.
*The Coalface is only available during open hours.
Picnics
Benches and seating areas are available to enjoy your own picnic. Please help to keep the area clean by putting your rubbish in the bins provided and leaving your bench clear. The picnic area is fenced, but it is located next to the car park, so please keep an eye on your children and dogs.
You are welcome to take a picnic on site too.
Picnics can also be purchased from local cafes and hotels.
Parking and Services
There are ample parking spaces on site for cars and motorcycles. Coaches and motorhomes* are also very welcome, but booking is advised.
It is possible to walk to Crawick Multiverse and bike racks and e-bike chargers are available for cyclists on request from The Coalface.
To make the most of your visit please contact us in advance to arrange groups visits, tours and coach parties.
*A limited number of motorhome bays can be booked for overnight stopovers too.
