MUSIC AT THE MULTIVERSE 2024:
Crawick Multiverse: the perfect stage for Music at the Multiverse 2024
The former open cast coal mine near Sanquhar is a popular visitor attraction and outdoor venue and, once again, it has proven to be the perfect stage for our Music at the Multiverse festival in 2024.
The two-day festival, now in its fourth year, took place on 31st August and 1st September with The Hoosiers, Toploader, Tide Lines, Colonel Mustard and the Dijon 5, The Lucky Doves, The Lutras, EBB, Elias T. Hoth, Kissing the Flint, The Mocking Byrds, Tiderays and The Cherry Pinks all performing live on the Main Stage.
The Big Top Dance Tent was also booming with performances from Public Domain, Flip N Fill, Technotronic Ft Eric Martin, Michael Smith, Malcolm X, We Love Old Skool, Stevie Lennon, Brett Lawrie, Steven Allan, Stephen Holland, Blair Crawford, Nicky Nally, Jamie Benson and Paul Cooper.
Thanks to a partnership with the Up Yer Airts the new Cosmic Lounge performance space featured local talent and an artist showcase for new young performers, including Dopesickfly, Zoe Bestel, Ella Campbell, Alexander and the Greeks, Kate Kyle, Palliro, 8 DAYS, DJ LIL’J, Anna Murray, Emily Major, Rhelm and The High Preistess.
While some festival-goers stayed over in their motorhomes, others made the most of the coach travel to and from the festival.
An expanded food and drink village, a new family zone and a full day of sunshine on Saturday also went down well with all those who attended, and despite the storm that temporarily paused proceedings in the final part of Sunday, everyone who joined the party had a great weekend.
In addition to funding support from Dumfries and Galloway Council and EventScotland, Music at the Multiverse attracted support from many local businesses and organisations. Thanks to the generous support of our community sponsors, more community groups and local young people were also able to enjoy the festival weekend. Thank you to everyone who supported the festival.
Music at the Multiverse 2024 was funded by The Crawick Multiverse Trust, Dumfries and Galloway Council and EventScotland with generous sponsorship from a range of local businesses and organisations.
