Visitors enjoyed a fantastic outdoor theatre performance from Illyria at the Sun Amphitheatre at Crawick Multiverse on Tuesday 16th July 2024. This was the first time the cast had performed on site, but we have a feeling they’ll be back!
AMAZING PERFORMANCE
Their performance of The Adventures of Doctor Dolittle was popular with adults and children of all ages, which included local families, visitors. holidaymakers and members of the Sanquhar Youth Theatre and The Guild of Players Youth Theatre at Theatre Royal Dumfries.
WONDERFUL AUDIENCE
The audience thoroughly enjoyed their outdoor theatre experience and the opportunity to meet and chat to the cast.
DELICIOUS TREATS
During the performance the audience also enjoyed delicious picnics and ice cream, which, for some, included picnic boxes from the local Arts Centre, A’ the Airts and ice cream treats from Arabella’s Ice Cream and Desserts. A great way to spend a Tuesday evening!
STUNNING VENUE
The Sun Amphitheatre in our 55-acre artland was the perfect setting for the Doctor Dolittle performance, with many guests also taking time to explore the site and the landforms designed by the late Charles Jencks, before and after the performance.
