Meet The Team

Working along side our board of trustees…

The Crawick Multiverse employs a small team of enthusiastic, talented and experienced locals people. Our Staff Team are responsible for the day to day running of the site, visitor services, planning, events, marketing and much more. Learn more about them below.

Sharon Glendinning

General Manager

Sharon is the General Manager for Crawick Multiverse.

Brian Johnson

Operations Manager

Brian, a Sanquhar resident, looks after day to day operations at The Multiverse.

I joined Crawick Multiverse in 2020 and day to day I manage our excellent visitor services team along with the general management of The Coalface and the site itself, supporting the wider team planning and organising the various events that take place throughout the year.

Originally I am from Sanquhar, I moved back to the region from Nottingham after finishing my studies in Hospitality Management and I love working at Crawick Multiverse and meeting new people every day who visit the site and every day is different.

Erin McColm

Visitor Services Team

I have been a member of the team since May 2021. I am responsible for providing a friendly welcome for our visitors and selling our sweet treats and coffees that our customers love and supporting the admin of the site and our newsletters. I enjoy meeting new people from all over the world and answering questions about the history of the site, the landforms and what they represent.

I grew up in Sanquhar and love working for an organisation that shines a light on our small town and brings people to the area. I am currently at University studying Marine Biology and I am very passionate about nature and conservation. I love the ethos of Crawick Multiverse and sharing new ideas and I am given a voice to suggest and work on creative ideas that can further improve the biodiversity of the site.

Visitor Services Team

I joined the Multiverse team in the Summer of 2021 as part of the Visitor Services Team with Erin and Dane from the local area. As a Visitor Services Assistant at Crawick Multiverse my role is always changing and each day is never the same, supplying accurate information about the site and local area and making coffees for visitors is all part of the job.

Each day is different at Crawick Multiverse meeting new people from all over the world and finding out what brings them to the local area. Working as part of a team is also something I thoroughly enjoy allowing myself to learn new skills and develop as a person while feeling part of a community. I live locally in Sanquhar and have stayed here all my life, having Crawick Multiverse on my door step is the perfect

Visitor Services Team

My name is Dane and I’m from Kirkconnel.

I started as a Visitor Services Assistant at Crawick Multiverse in Spring 2021, which has me interacting with visitors when they come to the site

At the Coalface kiosk desk, I sell admission to visitors, as well as hot and cold drinks, snacks and merchandise. I also do admin work behind the scenes to help keep the office running smoothly.

A thing I love about the job is the people you get to meet and speak with; most visitors are eager to have a conversation with you!

This project is part-financed by the Scottish Government and the European Union – LEADER 2014-2020 programme
